Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Splendor Card

I love the Snowflake Splendor suite especially the DSP! I’m sharing the Christmas Card I sent out this year for this week’s Global Design Project Theme Challenge. I wasn’t sure if I was going to finish this blog in time for the challenge because I slipped and broke my wrist on Saturday night. Ouch! But the lovely & efficient staff at our ER were fabulous and I was in, X-rayed, and splinted up and out of there super quick. I will need to get a cast next week but as it’s my left wrist- not my dominant right – I could finish and post in time.

Start with a Misty Moonlight cs card base. Cut a Highland Heather cs panel and a Snowflake Splendor DSP panel. Glue the panels together and wrap them with a piece of Purple Posy Ribbon from the Playing With Patterns ribbon combo pack using Stampin’ Seal to secure the end on the back. Then glue the wrapped panels to the card base.

Die cut a Whisper White cs sentiment stitched label with the Stitched Nested Labels dies. Die cut a Highland Heather cs sentiment oval layer with the Layered Ovals Dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink on the Whisper White cs sentiment stitched label. Glue the stamped Whisper White cs sentiment stitched label on the Highland Heather cs sentiment oval layer.

Use Stampin Dimensionals to add the sentiment to the right of the card base centered overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Tie a small bow with the Purple Posy ribbon and use glue dots to attach it to the bottom left of the sentiment. Add adhesive-backed Snowflakes to the sentiment label and card front for sparkle.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I stamped the small snowflake in Misty Moonlight ink and the sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink.

I stamped the large snowflake in Balmy Blue to the back of the card. I also added a strip of DSP to the inside and the back of card to pull the theme through.
