Stampin’ Up! CASEd Halloween Crazy Cat Treat Box

Halloween is just around the corner and for the next 13 days I’m sharing Halloween projects. For Day 1 I’ve CASEd the treat box pictured on page 53 of the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. I love the super cute cats in the Clever Cat stamp set and it makes an adorable tag for the fabulous little treat box that the Pretty Pillow Box dies creates. Start by die cutting a Black Glitter Paper pillow box with a Pretty Pillow Box dies. Punch two holes with a hole punch (or use the die cut) in the box top. With a bone folder and your fingers burnish the score lines on the box and gently curl the top piece. Then use glue to seal the side flaps and make the box.

Cut the Cute Halloween DSP strips (only cut the 2nd pieces if you want the strips to completely go around the box). Use a strip of Tear & Tape to add the larger DSP strip(s) using your fingers to fit it around the box (be sure the gap will be under the tag attached at the front of the box). Use glue to add the smaller strip(s) in the center of the larger DSP strip(s). Color a White Glittered Organdy ribbon with a Dark Heather Highland Stampin’ Blend (be sure that you do so on scrap paper to protect your surface). Wrap the colored ribbon around the box and tie the ribbon in a bow.

Die cut a Basic White cs tag with the Pretty Pillow Box dies. Punch a hole in the top of the tag below the stitched edge. Stamp the peeking cat image from the Clever Cats stamp set in Memento Black ink with the punched hole between the ears on the tag. On a scrap of Basic White cs stamp the jack-o-lantern image from the Clever Cats stamp set in Pumpkin Pie ink. Color the image with the Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend and then fussy cut it out. Use Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the fussy cut jack-o-lantern to the tag under the peeking cat image. Add Cute Stars adhesive-backed Sequins tucked around the jack-o-lantern on the tag. On a scrap of Highland Heather cs stamp the sentiment from the Clever Cats stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink and then fussy cut it out with one end angled. Add the sentiment to the tag across the bottom of the pumpkin with Mini Black Stampin’ Dimensionals. Attach the tag to the front of the box (over the gap in DSP) with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals. Thread through a piece of Black Baker’s Twine through the top of the box and into the top of the tag. Tie the Baker’s Twine in a bow to close the box.
