Stampin’ Up! Black Glitter Old Olive Halloween Card

Card Measurements and Supply List are found at the bottom of this blog post.

I conjured up this fun Halloween card in Old Olive and Black Glitter paper with a panel of the Cute Halloween DSP after a lovely day of stamping with some of my favorite people. We were making Day 8 of my 13 Days of Halloween pinwheel tower cards (I am still working on finishing the tutorial for my blog) with all the fabulous Halloween products, so I couldn’t help continuing the day’s theme for this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge.

Start with an Old Olive cs card base. Dry emboss the front of the card base with the Timber 3D embossing folder. Cut a Vellum cs panel, a Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper panel, and a Black Glitter paper panel. Use Stampin’ Seal to attach the Black Glitter paper to the bottom edge of the DSP panel. Die cut a Black Glitter paper spider web with the Frightful Tags dies. Use glue to add the die cut spider web to the left side of the back of the DSP panel – be sure to use the card front as a guide to make sure your spider web will fit onto the card. Then glue the DSP/web/Glitter paper panel to the Vellum cs panel. Use a sponge dauber to add Memento Black ink to the edges of the panels and the card base. Add the panels to the card front with glue.

Die cut out a Basic White cs label with the Frightful Tags dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Clever Cats stamp set in Memento Black ink on the label. Gently drag your sentiment label over the Memento Black ink to add black color to the edges of the label. Stamp two spiders from the Cutest Halloween stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cs. Fussy cut out the spiders with paper snips. Cut a small piece of Black Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Combo pack. Use glue dots to attach the twine to the spiders and then use Mini Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the spiders to the card front. Add the sentiment label to the card front over the twine between the spiders slightly overlapping the DSP, web & Vellum cs with Mini Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Punch a Black Glitter paper cat with the Cat Punch. Glue the cat on the right side of the card front overlapping the Vellum cs, Black Glitter Paper, and the DSP. Add Cute Stars Adhesive-backed Sequins to the card front and Wink of Stella to the spiders & the DSP for extra sparkle.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel with Memento Black ink edges to write your message. I also stamped the witch from the Frightful Tags dies and the spider from the Cutest Halloween stamp set in Memento Black ink on the inside panel. I also added a strip of DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

  1. This is such a cute card! I love all of the elements. They all go so well together.

  2. Oh my gosh I LOVE every single thing about this card, down to the little black stars! The woodgrain embossing on the green is great! And those little popped up spiders. Fantastic!
