So Swirly Sketched Butterflies Card

For this week’s Global Design Project color challenge I created a lovely card using the new 2024-2025 Annual Catalog Sketched Butterflies stamp set, the So Swirly embossing folder, and the Saying Hey stamp set.

Start with a Petal Pink cardstock card base. Cut a Moody Mauve cardstock panel and a Basic White cardstock panel. Dry Emboss the Basic White cardstock panel with the So Swirly embossing folder. Glue the embossed panel to the Moody Mauve cardstock panel and then glue the panels to the card base.

Cut a Basic White cardstock sentiment panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Saying Hey stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on the sentiment panel. Add the stamped sentiment panel to the bottom middle of the card front.

Stamp three of the butterfly images (1 large, 2 medium, & 4 small) from the Sketched Butterflies stamp in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the butterflies with Stampin’ Blends. Add Wink of Stella to the butterflies wings for sparkle. Die cut out the butterflies with the Sketched Butterflies dies or fussy cut with paper snips. Use a bone folder to lightly curl the butterfly wings, then add Stampin’ Dimensionals and glue dots to add the butterflies to the card front (slightly tuck a few of the butterflies into the sentiment panel). I added some Moody Mauve 2023-2025 In Color Dots to the card front amongst the butterflies and one to the sentiment panel.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Kiddin’ Around stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink and add two die cut butterflies to the inside panel to pull the theme through.
