#SimpleStamping Card with the Sale-A-Bration Penguin Playmates DSP

The Sale-A-Bration Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper is a super cute and colorful exclusive product that can be chosen for Free with a qualifying order until the end of September. This fabulous paper coordinates with the Penguin Place Bundle in the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. Each month Stampin’ Up! issues a #SimpleStamping challenge. August’s challenge was to create a card using only stamps, ink, paper, and featuring a Sale-A-Bration item. I used the Penguin Playmates DSP and the sentiments from the Merry Snowflakes stamp set to create this #SimpleStamping card.

Start with a Fresh Freesia cs card base. Cut a Shaded Spruce cs panel and a Penguin Playmates DSP panel. Cut the DSP panel in two – top (2 1/4″ x 4″) & bottom (3″x 4″). Be sure the bottom DSP panel has a polar bear with the Shaded Spruce scarf. Glue the DSP panels (pattern on top & critters on bottom) onto the Shaded Spruce cs panel and then glue the panels to the card front.

Cut a Shaded Spruce cs strip and two Basic White cs strips. Glue the Basic White cs stirps to the Shaded Spruce cs strip to match the polar bear’s scarf on the DSP. Glue the strip across the card front over the transition of the top & bottom DSP panels.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiments from the Merry Snowflakes stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink and add a DSP strip to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Shaded Spruce cs panel – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″.
Penguin Playmates DSP panel – 5 1/4″ x 4″ cut in half so the top half is 2 1/4″ x 4″ and the bottom half is 3″ x 4″.
Shaded Spruce cs strip – 3/4″ x 4 1/4″.
Basic White cs strips – two 1/8″ x 4 1/4″.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
Penguin Playmates DSP strips – two 1/4″ x 4.
DSP = Designer Series Paper
cs = cardstock
