Scenic Pumpkin Patch Card

Card Measurements and Supply List with the clickable printable PDF tutorial link for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

I used the fabulous Online Exclusive Scenic Pumpkin Patch stamp set to create my first Halloween card of the season. I love these scene builder stamp sets. They can be a bit intimidating at first and I do find that I need to play with the images a bit to get a feel for how they work together but I love how fun they are to create with. I paired the small scene I created on a large label with the Country Woods Designer Series Paper and an embossed banner for texture to create my card. You can check how I made this card by watching my Facebook Live replay on my Facebook page here or on my YouTube page below.

Start with Smoky Slate cardstock card base. Cut a Basic Gray cardstock panel and a Country Woods Designer Series Paper panel. Glue the panels together and then glue them to the card base. Die cut a Pumpkin Pie cardstock banner with the Nested Essentials dies. Dry emboss the banner with the Dashing Designs 3D embossing folder. Wrap the top of the embossed banner with Linen Thread three times and tie with a bow on the right side. Add the wrapped banner to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Die cut a Basic White cardstock large label and hexagon with the Something Fancy dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Potions & Spells stamp set in Memento Black ink along the top of the large label. Use the images from the Scenic Pumpkin Patch stamp set with Memento Black ink, Pumpkin Pie ink, Pecan Pie ink, Old Olive ink, and Smoky Slate ink to create a scene on the large label (check out my YouTube video above at 25:35 for how I built the scene). Stamp the three pumpkin image from the Scenic Pumpkin Patch stamp set in Pumpkin Pie ink on the Basic White cardstock hexagon. Then stamp the matching stem image in Old Olive ink on the pumpkins. Stamp the ivy leaf image on the middle pumpkin in 2nd generation (stamped off) Old Olive ink. Add Wink of Stella to both the images on the large label and the hexagon for sparkle.

Add the stamped large label to the card front overlapping the embossed banner under the Linen Thread with glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add the stamped hexagon on the left side overlapping the stamped large label and embossed banner with glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins to the card front.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Add a strip of Designer Series Paper, stamp the sentiment from the Potions & Spells stamp set in Memento Black ink, and the pumpkins (Pumpkin Pie ink) & stems (Old Olive ink) from the Scenic Pumpkin Patch stamp set on the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my Scenic Pumpkin Patch card. You can order the Scenic Pumpkin Patch stamp set, the Country Woods Designer Series Paper, the Dashing Designs 3D embossing folder, the Nested Essentials dies, and the Something Fancy dies in my Online Store.
