Poised Peony With The Country Lace DSP Card

Card Measurements, Supply List, and printable PDF tutorial for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

The new Poised Peony stamp set in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog is a stand alone stamp set that includes beautiful flower images and versatile sentiments. I paired the Poised Peony stamp set with the lovely Country Lace Designer Series Paper and a label die cut with Something Fancy dies. You can watch how I made this card on my Facebook Live replay on my Facebook page here and on my YouTube Channel below.

Start with a Misty Moonlight cardstock card base. Cut a Petal Pink cardstock panel and the two Country Lace Designer Series Paper panels. Use a paper trimmer to flag the bottom of the largest Country Lace Designer Series Paper panel. Glue the flagged Designer Series Paper panel centered and flush to the top of the Petal Pink cardstock panel. Glue the panels to the card base.

Wrap the small Country Lace Designer Series Paper panel with the Petal Pink Diagonal Trim using Tear & Tape to secure the ends on the back of the panel. Glue the wrapped panel (about center) with one end flush with the left side of the card base. Die cut a Basic White cardstock label with the Something Fancy dies. Stamp the largest flower from the Poised Peony stamp set in Memento Black ink off the right side of the die cut label. Color the flower image with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella to the flower petals for sparkle.

Add the colored label to card front slightly to the left with Stampin’ Dimensionals overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Stamp the sentiment from the Poised Peony stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Use paper snips to fussy cut down the sentiment and use Stampin’ Dimensionals & glue dots to add it to the card front overlapping the label above the wrapped ribbon on the right side. Tie a small bow with the Petal Pink Diagonal Trim and use glue dots to add the bow under the sentiment overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Add Iridescent Pearls to the card front.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the medium flower image from the Poised Peony stamp set off the right side of the inside panel in Memento Black ink and colored the image with Stampin’ Blends. Add Wink of Stella to the flower petals for sparkle. Add a Designer Series Paper strip and stamp the sentiment from the Poised Peony stamp set in Memento Black ink on the inside & back of the card to pull the theme through.
