This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge perfect for Valentine cards. I used the super cute Host Sale-A-Bration Little Ladybug stamp set and the fabulous From My Heart Specialty DSP.
Start with a Flirty Flamingo cs card base. Cut the Whisper White cs and From the Heart Specialty DSP panels. Dry emboss the Whisper White cs panel with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. Dry emboss the From My Heart Specialty DSP with the Tufted 3D embossing folder. Glue the embossed From My Heart Specialty DSP panel to the embossed Whisper White cs panel. Wrap the panels 3 times with Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon, tie a bow, and then glue the wrapped panels to the card base.
Stamp the ladybug and the sentiment from the Little Ladybug stamp set in Memento Black ink on a punched Whisper White cs heart – punched out the Heart Punch pack. Color the lady bug with Stampin’ Blends and then add Wink of Stella for sparkle. Punch out a Flirty Flamingo cs scalloped heart with the Heart Punch pack and dry emboss the heart with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. Glue the stamped Whisper White cs heart to the scalloped Flirty Flamingo cs heart.
Add From My Heart Faceted Gems to the card front using glue dots. Add Peaceful Poppies Sequins to the stamped ladybug with glue dots.
Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I stamped the ladybug with the flower in Memento Black ink, colored the image with the blends, and then add Wink of Stella for extra sparkle to the inside panel. I also glued a strip of From My Heart Specialty DSP to the back of the card to pull the theme through.
