Global Design Project 196 – CASE the Designer

This week’s Global Design Project is to CASE the designer and it’s a beautiful card by Connie Collins. I decided to use the flower spray and butterfly from the Beauty Abounds stamp set and the bold lined sentiment from the Daisy Delight stamp set to create my challenge card.

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

Start with a Purple Posy cs card base. I used the 2nd largest Stitched Rectangle die to cut out a 2019-2020 In Color Purple Posy DSP panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Daisy Delight stamp set in Highland Heather ink in the center on the top half of the Purple Posy DSP panel. Then glue the stamped Purple Posy DSP panel to the card base.

Cut a Whisper White cs frame with the largest and the 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle dies. Use Foam Adhesive Strips to attach the stitched Whisper White cs frame over the stamped Purple Posy DSP panel.

Stamp the flower spray image 3 times from the Beauty Abounds stamp set on Whisper White cs in Pear Pizzazz ink. Color the images with the Stampin’ Blends. Use Paper Snips to fussy cut out the images. Add Wink of Stella to the flowers for sparkle. Attach one spray across the bottom of the Whisper White cs frame with glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Snip 2nd flower spray in thirds right before the 3rd swirl. Glue the larger piece to the stamped Purple Posy DSP behind the other spray in the lower right corner. Glue the smaller flower spray piece to the top right side of the Whisper White cs frame beside the stamped sentiment.

Fussy cut out the flowers on the 3rd flower spray with Paper Snips. Use glue dots to add the flowers to fill out the flower sprays on the card front – giving some flowers a 3D look.

Stamp a butterfly from the Beauty Abounds stamp set in Highland Heather ink on Whisper white cs. Color the butterfly with the Stampin’ Blends and then fussy cut it out with Paper Snips. Add Wink of Stella to the wings for sparkle. Use the Bone Folder to gently curl the wings and then use a glue dot under the body and a Stampin’ Dimensional under the wings to attach the butterfly to the card front. Add Basic Adhesive- Backed Sequins.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I also stamped the sentiment from the Daisy Detailed stamp set in Highland Heather ink, the flower spray from the Beauty Abounds stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink & colored with the Stampin’ Blends, and the butterfly from the Beauty Abounds stamp set in Highland Heather ink & colored with the Stampin’ Blends on the inside panel and back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my Global Design Project card this week. I love the Purple Posy In Color and even though we are still waiting on the ink pad – there are so many ways to still incorporate this gorgeous In Color into our projects.
