Glimmer Gal Team November Sketch Challenge – Christmas Rose

For this fun November Glimmer Gals Team sketch challenge I wanted to continue playing with the Christmas Rose stamp set – loving this gorgeous exclusive suite – and with the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate.

The Glimmer Gal Team November Sketch Challenge is from
Theresa of
 Theresa’s Treasures.

Start with a Merry Merlot cs card base. Cut the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate panel and the Old Olive cs panel. Dry emboss the Old Olive cs panel with the Lace 3D embossing folder and then glue it to the bottom of the card base. Glue the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate to the top of the card base – be sure to take off the protective plastic layer and add the glue behind the dark silver parts so it doesn’t show through.

Stamp the floral image from the Christmas Rose stamp set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cs. Stamp the 3 leave/pine branch stamps in Old Olive ink on the floral image making sure that the images line up. Stamp the pine cone image in Soft Suede ink and the berries in Merry Merlot ink on the floral image. Stamp the rose images in 2nd generation Merry Merlot ink (stamped off) on the floral image. Die cut the colored image into an oval with the Oval Layering Dies (save the left over floral image to fussy cut for the sentiment). Die cut a Merry Merlot cs scalloped oval with the Oval Layering dies.

Add Wink of Stella to the rose petals for sparkle. Add the Shimmery Crystal Effects to select parts of the petals and then Ice Stampin’ Glitter- tapping off the excess. When dry use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the Whisper White cs image oval to the Merry Merlot cs scalloped oval and then use more Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the ovals centered to the left on the card front.

Cut the sentiment Whisper White cs panel and Old Olive cs sentiment layer panel. Dry emboss the Old Olive cs layer panel with the Lace 3D embossing folder. Stamp the sentiment from the So Many Stars stamp set in Merry Merlot ink on Whisper White cs panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the sentiment Whisper White cs panel to the embossed Old Olive cs layer. Fussy cut the left over oval Whisper White cs image and use glue add to the fussy cut pieces to the sentiment panels.

Cut a small piece of Braided Linen trim, tie it in a bow, and use glue dots to adhere it above and to the left of the image ovals.

I used the same colors that I used on the front floral oval as I did on the inside panel.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel. I stamped the floral image in Memento Black ink and the sentiment in Merry Merlot ink from the Christmas Rose stamp set on the inside panel. I also stamped the floral image from the Christmas Rose stamp set and the sentiment from the So Many Stars stamp set on the back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my Christmas Rose November Glimmer Gals Team Sketch Challenge card. You can purchase the Christmas Rose stamp set and the Christmastime is Here Suite in my Online Store.
