Beside Me Father’s Day Card

For this week’s Global Design Project #447 theme challenge I chose to use the fabulous Father’s Day themed stamp set Beside Me and the beautiful Online Exclusive Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper to create my card.

Start with a Boho Blue cardstock card base. Cut a Garden Green cardstock panel and a Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper panel. Glue the Designer Series Paper to the Garden Green cardstock panel and then glue them to the card base.

Stamp the Father & child on the bike image from the Beside Me stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the image with Stampin’ Blends and then fussy cut it out with paper snips. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the colored image to the card front on the lower left side of the card front (on the path).

Cut a Basic White cardstock sentiment panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Beside Me stamp set in Memento Black ink on the sentiment panel. Tear the bottom edge of the sentiment. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment panel to the bottom right side of the card front. Add Ombre Matte Decorative Dots to the card front around the sentiment panel.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Add a Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper strip down the left side of the inside panel. Stamp the sentiments from the Beside Me stamp set in Memento Black ink on the bottom right side of the inside panel.

Boho Blue cs card base – 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″.
Garden Green cs panel – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″.
Meandering Meadows DSP panel – 5 1/4″ x 4″ plus a 5 1/4″ x 1 1/2″ strip & a 1/2″ x 4″ strip.
Basic White cs father & child on bike – fussy cut with paper snips.
Basic White cs sentiment panel – 1″ x 1 1/4″ with the bottom torn.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
DSP = Designer Series Paper
